TRAMA
Una madre imperfetta, Martha, e sua figlia, risentita per tutti gli errori della genitrice, vengono separate da un grande malinteso. Tra di loro c'è Ingrid, un'amica della madre, che è depositaria sia del dolore sia dell'amarezza che entrambe provano. Martha è una giornalista di guerra, mentre Ingrid è una scrittrice. Le due amiche condividono una casa costruita nel mezzo di una riserva naturale del New England.
